NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Walsh took control with a strong finish to the first half and dealt the Lady Jackets their first conference loss of the season, 84-61, at Alumni Arena.
The host Cavaliers, 10-4 and 6-2 G-MAC, scored the final 13 points of the second quarter for a 41-28 lead at the intermission.
Cedarville, 10-3 and 6-1 G-MAC, got no closer than nine points in the second half.
Baylee Bennett scored 14 points for the Lady Jackets while
Regina Hochstetler chipped in 12.
All fourteen players in uniform saw action and eleven scored.
Stinger Notes:
- Bennett continued her streak of having scored in double figures in every contest this winter.
- It's the second straight year that Walsh stung the Yellow Jackets on their home court (76-50).
- The Cavaliers have already played their one scheduled meeting with CU, Findlay, and Hillsdale.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series, 21-19, which began in the 1991-92 season.
