FINDLAY, Ohio - Branden Maughmer made an emphatic season debut with career-highs of 31 points and ten rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets past Truman State, 77-65, in the G-MAC/GLVC Crossover.

The sophomore guard, who missed the previous night's triple overtime setback to Quincy, made 9-of-15 shots from the field, 4-of-7 three-pointers, and converted all nine of his free throws. He also dished out three assists.

Quinton Green finished with 13 points and a team-high four assists for Cedarville while Conner TenHove had 11 points.

Cedarville never trailed in the second half and outscored the Bulldogs 13-1 in the final 5:17 to win it with every point coming at the free throw line.

TenHove broke a 64-64 deadlock with two charity tosses to give CU the lead for good.

Maughmer made all nine of his free throws in the final two minutes.

Stinger Notes:
  • The Yellow Jackets were 15-for-15 at the free throw line as a team - five shy of the school record for perfection.
  • Cedarville converted 45-of-49 charity tosses in the two games.
  • Maughmer's previous career-high was 30 points vs. Shawnee State.
  • Cedarville defeated Truman for the second straight year to square the all-time series at 2-2.
