CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville ramped up the offense in the third quarter and blew away Lake Erie, 88-61, in a G-MAC women's game at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets ran their record to 19-6 overall and 15-4 G-MAC while remaining perfect in 12 home games.
CU never trailed in the contest and took a 35-24 spread into the intermission. Then came the third quarter.
The Jackets shot 72 percent from the field including six-for-nine from deep while outscoring the visitors, 32-16, to blow it open.
Regina Hochstetler nailed four three-pointers en route to a game-high 19 points.
Abby Wolford finished with 15 points while
Ashlyn Huffman totaled 12 points and five assists.
Stinger Notes:
- Eight different players made a three-pointer.
- Cedarville has buried 27 treys in its last two games while holding the opposition to just one.
- The Jackets have made ten or more threes 14 times this season.
- Wolford netted 13 of her points in the first quarter.
- CU is averaging just 7.3 turnovers in the last ten contest.
