CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Matthew Biermann's two-out grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Yellow Jackets a dramatic 13-10 G-MAC victory over Kentucky Wesleyan.
The visiting Panthers cruised to a 16-2 win in the nightcap of the doubleheader.
In the opener, Cedarville entered the ninth trailing 10-7 and was down to its last out four different times.
With two runs already in, Biermann came to the plate with the bases loaded and launched an 0-1 pitch over the wall in left to complete the rally.
Payton Eeles had three of the Yellow Jackets' 13 hits and scored two runs.
Ross Melchior totaled two hits, two runs, and two RBI while
Bryce Hughes added two hits.
CU scored first in the second contest and then it was all Kentucky Wesleyan. The Panthers blew it open with an eight-run fourth inning.
Eeles had two of the team's four hits for the Jackets, 12-20 overall and 6-10 G-MAC.
