CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Quinton Green fired in 25 points as Cedarville halted a three-game G-MAC slide with a convincing 86-63 win over Tiffin at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 9-8 overall and 5-3 G-MAC in what was just their sixth home game of the season.
The hosts finished the first half on a 14-3 run to lead 37-22 at the break. The difference inflated to 20 in the first three minutes of the second period and grew to as much as 26.
Green racked up 18 of his points after halftime featuring a three-for-three effort from deep.
Branden Maughmer finished with 19 points and
Kollin Van Horn chipped in ten.
Stinger Notes:
- Conner TenHove led all players with ten rebounds and five assists.
- Cedarville was 17-of-17 at the free throw line - three shy of the school record for perfection.
- Freshman Jacob Drees made his first career start.
- After committing ten turnovers in the first half, the Jackets had just two in the second.
- It's the only regular season meeting between the two longtime rivals.
- Cedarville holds a 39-36 lead in the all-time series.
