CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Kollin Van Horn poured in a career-high 26 points and Cedarville pulled away from Alderson Broaddus for an 82-63 G-MAC win at the Callan Athletic Center.
It was the fifth consecutive victory for the Yellow Jackets, 13-8 overall and 9-3 G-MAC.
A 34-34 halftime deadlock morphed into a 39-36 advantage for the visitors.
However,
Demond Parker hit a pair of triples to spark a 14-point run covering five minutes to put CU in control.
Van Horn made 11-of-15 shots from the field and hauled in nine rebounds while
Branden Maughmer totaled 16 points and eight assists.
Conner TenHove produced a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Parker nailed four three-pointers for 12 points.
Stinger Notes:
- Van Horn's previous career-high was 24 points earlier this season against Ohio Dominican.
- TenHove's double-double was his sixth of the season.
- Parker scored in double figures for the first time in nine games.
- Maughmer's eight assists matched his career high set twice previously this winter (Central State, Malone).
- The Jackets are shooting .547 in the first three contests of the five-game homestand.
- Alderson Broaddus still leads the all-time series, 9-4.
