CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Quinton Green fired in 20 points and Cedarville knocked off Walsh for the second time in a little more than 24 hours, 74-54, at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Yellow Jackets, 10-5 overall and 10-5 G-MAC, have won four straight.
Conner TenHove scored 15 points and
Kollin Van Horn worked inside for 14.
Branden Maughmer handed out nine assists.
The Cavaliers rushed to a 16-2 lead in the opening four-plus minutes.
Cedarville responded with a 28-4 run featuring one string of 14 unanswered points and never trailed again.
Walsh clawed back to within 53-49 with 6:30 remaining. However, Cedarville juiced up the offense again outscoring the visitors 21-5 the rest of the way.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville committed eight turnovers and just 13 total in the two games vs. the Cavaliers.
- The Yellow Jackets were whistled for a season-low five personal fouls.
- After being outrebounded 37-30 in the first game, CU controlled the boards, 38-23.
- All eight Jackets players to see action scored and grabbed at least two rebounds.
- Walsh leads the all-time series, 49-44, which began in the 1965-66 season.
