CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NABC Division II No. 21 Findlay made the key plays in the final five minutes to pull out a 65-61 G-MAC victory over Cedarville at the Callan Athletic Center.
Branden Maughmer scored 19 points for the Yellow Jackets, 10-7 overall and 10-7 G-MAC.
Isaiah Speelman finished with 12 points and
Jayvon Maughmer produced 10 off the bench.
Speelman's triple with 5:10 remaining gave the home team a 55-54 lead.
The Oilers, who completed their regular season 17-4 overall and 16-4 G-MAC, scored nine of the next eleven points and never trailed again.
Stinger Notes:
- There were 11 lead changes and one tie.
- Cedarville controlled the boards, 33-27, and both teams committed 12 turnovers apiece.
- The Yellow Jackets finished 5-4 at home.
- The visiting team won both games this winter.
- Findlay leads the all-time series, 78-24, which began in 1910.
- CU finishes the regular season on Saturday at No. 9 Hillsdale.
