HILLSDALE, Mich. - NABC Division II No. 9 Hillsdale added an exclamation point to its G-MAC regular season championship by defeating the Yellow Jackets, 75-54.
The Chargers, 19-1 overall and 19-1 G-MAC, head to the postseason with a 16-game winning streak.
Cedarville had a 16-13 lead six-plus minutes into the matchup when Hillsdale turned the momentum with 15 consecutive points.
The Jackets got as close as six early in the second half, but the hosts regained command with a 13-3 spurt.
Quinton Green fired in 22 points with seven rebounds for CU, 10-8 overall and 10-8 G-MAC.
Branden Maughmer added 13 points.
Stinger Notes:
- Thirteen Yellow Jackets and 27 players total saw action in the contest.
- Cedarville lost to the then No. 12 Chargers 83-79 in double overtime at home on Feb. 2.Â
- Hillsdale has won all nine meetings in the series between the two schools.
- Next up is the G-MAC Tournament with pairings announced on Sunday.
