XENIA, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets edged Ohio Christian, 3-2, scoring the winning run on a balk to sweep the two-game series at the Athletes in Action Complex.
Alan Perry opened the sixth inning with a double, moved to third on a passed ball, and one out later came across on a balk to break a 2-2 deadlock.
Perry finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Lucas Rotello added two hits with a double and an RBI.
Austin Brown also doubled and scored the other run for Cedarville, 2-0.
Five pitchers went to the mound for the Yellow Jackets.
Noah Cline tossed three innings of scoreless relief to get the win.
Reid Hale struck out two batters in the ninth and was credited with the save.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville pitchers fanned eight batters and walked just two.
- Ohio Christian left ten runners on base including two in the ninth inning.
- The Yellow Jackets did not commit an error.
- CU plays four games in the Tobs College Classic on March 4-6 in Wilson, N.C.
