TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin avenged a blowout loss to the Yellow Jackets by pinning a 77-62 G-MAC setback on Cedarville at the Gillmor Student Center.
The Dragons, who were beaten 101-77 in the Callan Athletic Center on January 2, held the lead for nearly the entire contest.
CU falls to 6-5 overall and 6-5 G-MAC with its third loss in five days.
Tiffin buried 14 three-pointers and held the Yellow Jackets to just three triples and 19 points under their offensive scoring average.
Branden Maughmer scored 17 points and
Isaiah Speelman added ten.
Conner TenHove pulled down ten rebounds.
The Dragons never trailed over the final 37 minutes. Cedarville got as close as 46-45 midway through the second half, but TU took control with a 22-7 run.
Stinger Notes:
- TenHove posted his fourth game of at least ten rebounds.
- Cedarville controlled the boards, 43-27, but committed 12 more turnovers (18-6).
- The Jackets lead the all-time series, 40-37.
- CU plays its fourth game in seven days on Monday at NABC Division II No. 6 Findlay.
