TIFFIN, Ohio - Cedarville edged Tiffin, 6-5, to close out their long G-MAC series and end a five-game losing streak in a contest called after six inning because of darkness.
The Dragons won the seven-inning opener of the regularly scheduled doubleheader, 12-2.
That came after the two sides resumed Friday's suspended game, won by TU, 8-3, which followed a 90-minute rain delay to start the day.
Kale Ebling drilled a two-run triple and
Blais Hale added a two-run single to spark the offense.Â
Payton Eeles added a hit, three walks, two stolen bases, and two runs scored.
Reid Hale, 4-0, worked the final 2 1/3 innings allowing just one hit with five strikeouts for the Jackets, 10-14 overall and 7-9 G-MAC.
A nine-run fifth inning carried Tiffin in the first game.
Lucas Rotello had two hits including a double and RBI for Cedarville.
Stinger Notes:
- Ebling went 3-for-6 in the twinbill with three runs.
- Brandon Doehne had four hits in the series with two homers, five RBI, and scored in every game.
- Blais Hale ripped five hits in the four games and drove in four runs.
- Eeles contributed five hits, six walks, six runs, and five steals vs. Tiffin.
- Rotello extended his hitting streak to seven games batting .389 in the series with six RBI.
