CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville claimed a pair of one-run victories over Findlay to win the final three games of their weekend G-MAC series.
The Yellow Jackets rallied to walk off the first game, 11-10, before holding on to the nightcap, 6-5.
The home team scored twice in its last at bat to take the seven-inning opener.
Brandon Doehne led off with a towering game-tying home run to left.
Lucas Rotello ripped a two-out single to center field scoring
Chase Springmeyer with the winning run.
Payton Eeles was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. Rotello had two hits and scored twice.
Winning pitcher
Riley Landrum, 1-2, tossed a scoreless seventh inning with two strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Rotello was good for three more hits including a triple. Doehne added two hits featuring a triple and
Blais Hale had two singles.
Starting pitcher
Trace Gillis, 2-0, earned the win with seven strikeouts in five innings. Younger brother
Tanner Gillis worked the ninth inning to garner the save.
Stinger Notes:
- Eeles walked twice in the first game and stole three bases on the day.
- Reliever Kevin Zhang tossed three scoreless innings with three strikeouts in the second game.
- Rotello tallied three multi-hit games on the weekend.
- Hale had base hits in all four contests and has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games.
- Doehne went 6-for-10 in the last three games with two triples, a homer, and five RBI.
