CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Trevecca's offense came alive to sweep a G-MAC doubleheader at Cedarville by scores of 16-5 and 11-3.
The league-leading Trojans entered the sixth inning of game one trailing 5-2 and quickly turned the momentum around with back-to-back-to-back home runs for a 6-5 lead.
TNU scored twice more in the seventh and eight times in the ninth to make it a romp. The visitors slugged four long balls total in the contest.
Micah Stewart pounded a three-run homer for the Jackets and
Kale Ebling added a solo shot.
The Trojans jumped to a 6-0 lead in the nightcap and put it away with a four-run seventh inning.
Ebling doubled and
Westin Blattner added a triple for Cedarville, 17-19 overall and 14-14 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Neither team committed an error in either game.
- Ebling's and Stewart's home runs were the first of their respective career.
- The second game included a 43-minute rain delay after the second inning.
- Blais Hale had his 11-game hitting streak halted.
- Cedarville will honor four seniors from the 2020 team prior to the start of Saturday's twinbill.
- Senior Day festivities for the Class of 2021 will take place immediately before the second game.
