INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indianapolis as well as nationally-ranked West Florida defeated Cedarville as the Jackets opened the season at the Indianapolis Invitational.
The host Greyhounds outlasted CU in the first match of the day, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 15-10.
Liene Miller pounded 18 kills to go along with 12 digs and two blocks.
Lauren Willow produced 11 kills and a team-high four rejections.
Haley Goff piled up 52 assists while
Emily Ward totaled 12 digs and four service aces.
AVCA Division II No. 21 West Florida was too much for the Lady Jackets, 25-15, 25-14, 25-15.
Willow had seven kills, Goff handed out 11 assists, and Ward served up three more aces.
Stinger Notes:
- The UIndy match took 2:06 to complete.
- There were 35 tie scores with 14 in the fourth set alone.
- The lead changed sides 16 times - nine came in the fourth frame.
- Emily Jastrzemski came up with three blocks.
- Goff hit 50 assists for the fourth time in her career.
- West Florida, 5-0, has yet to lose a set this fall.
