CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rookie outside hitters
Cam Davenport and
Cassi Shields buried 11 kills apiece to lead Cedarville to victory over Ohio Dominican at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets, 11-12 overall and 9-4 G-MAC, ended a three-match skid in sweeping ODU for the second time this season.
The winning scores were 25-20, 25-19, 26-24.
Shields added a team-high four blocks at the net.
Riley Hensley contributed seven kills and three blocks.
Kaley Matney set up 37 assists and
Payton Krahn produced 12 digs.
Stinger Notes:
- Haley Koch and Hannah Willow recorded three blocks each.
- Talia Felton tallied two of the team's five service aces.
- The Jackets trailed only once in the first two sets.
- There were ten ties and five lead changes in the third set.
- Two of CU's three sweeps this fall have come against the Panthers.
- It was the 81st meeting between the two schools tying for the most vs. any opponent (Central State).
- Cedarville holds a 61-20 advantage in the all-time series.
