HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - USTFCCCA Division II No. 7 Cedarville had five of the first 13 finishers en route to an impressive victory in the 44-team Alabama-Huntsville Invitational.
The Jackets totaled 46 points with sixth-ranked Wingate a distance second with 105 and No. 10 Lee third with 112.
Savannah Ackley placed fifth with a time of 17:25.7 for the 5,000 meters at the John Hunt Cross Country Park.
Bethany Sholl was eighth in 17:30.5 and
Naomi Herman came in ninth in 17:32.0.
Other CU runners to score were
Hannah Rhem (11th; 17:35.0),
Alayna Ackley (13th; 17:40.3),
Audrianna Enns (29th; 17:59.8), and
Remington Hobson (32nd; 18:04.7).
There were 400 total competitors with Cedarville's 11 participants all placing in the top 80.
The Lady Jackets are off until November 5 when they will attempt to defend their G-MAC Championship in Findlay, Ohio.
