CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Cassi Shields hammered a career-high 21 kills to lead the Lady Jackets to a four-set G-MAC victory over Kentucky Wesleyan at the Callan Athletic Center.
Cedarville won by scores of 25-27, 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.
Shields added four blocks to her performance for the home team, 12-14 overall and 10-6 G-MAC.
Payton Krahn tallied a season-high 13 kills while
Riley Hensley totaled ten kills and a career-best six blocks.
Haley Koch also turned aside six blocks.
Kaley Matney had 52 assists and a career-high four service aces.
Stinger Notes:
- Mallory Delamarter, Lexi Glynn, and Talia Felton came up with ten digs apiece.
- The team's 28 block assists was a season best.
- Janae Heegaard had five blocks and Kailee McLaughlin came off the bench with four blocks in the fourth set alone.
- Shields' four blocks equaled her career high.
- Koch rejected six blocks for the fourth time this fall.
- There were 17 tie scores and eight lead changes.
- KWC rallied from an eight-point deficit to win the first set.
- Cedarville won both meetings this season and leads the all-time series, 16-7.
