PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -
Noah Cline and
Ethan Milburn tossed complete games and the offense knocked the ball all over the park as the Yellow Jackets won twice at the Peachtree City Classic.
Cedarville hammered Morehouse, 21-2, and then drilled Clark Atlanta, 16-0, by clubbing seven home runs and 35 hits total on the day - 19 for extra bases.
Both games were halted after seven innings by a 10-run mercy rule.
Cline struck out a career-high ten batters against Morehouse and the Yellow Jackets provided support with a school-record six home runs and scoring in every at bat.
Alan Perry went 4-for-4 with a home run, double, four runs, and four RBI.
Sam Punzi made his CU debut with a double, triple, homer, and five RBI.
Jacob Clements,
Kale Ebling,
Blais Hale, and
Bryce Hughes also went deep.
Milburn spun a one-hitter with a career-high nine K's in the Clark Atlanta win.Â
Punzi doubled twice, homered, and drove in three runs.
Lucas Rotello added three hits including a triple and five RBI.
Stinger Notes:
- Nine different players had base hits in the opener and six tallied at least two.
- CU socked three doubles, four triples, and six home runs against Morehouse.
- Milburn threw just 83 pitches against Clark Atlanta with one walk.
- Three players had three hits and three others produced two hits each in the second game.
- The Yellow Jackets did not commit an error in either contest.
