ALLIANCE, Ohio - Cedarville's comeback bid came up shy in a 15-12 setback to Walsh in the G-MAC opener for both schools played at the University of Mount Union.

The Cavaliers jumped on CU pitching for leads of 10-1 and 15-3 before the Yellow Jackets' offense got hot.

The visitors scored two runs in the seventh inning, two more in the eighth, and then exploded for five in the ninth.

Austin Brown, Blais Hale, and Bryce Hughes had two hits apiece for Cedarville, 6-8 overall.

Hale socked a solo home run as one of three Yellow Jackets to go deep.

Lucas Rotello hit a two-run homer and Payton Eeles added a three-run bomb in the ninth.

Eeles finished with four RBI and two runs scored while Rotello totaled three RBI.
