CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Northwood came back from a seven-run deficit for an 11-9 victory to sweep a non-conference twinbill in the home opener for the Yellow Jackets.
The Timberwolves cruised in the first game, 13-2.
In the nightcap,
Blais Hale capped off a five-run second inning with a three-run homer for a 7-0 Cedarville lead.
Northwood, who will join the G-MAC in 2022-23, tallied 11 unanswered runs beginning with five in the fourth inning.
Hale finished with two hits and four RBI. DH
Chase Springmeyer had three hits while
Payton Eeles and
Brody Rice added two each for Cedarville, 7-11 overall.
Hale had two of the team's six hits in the first game.
Sam Punzi delivered a two-run double in the fourth for the Yellow Jackets' two runs.
