CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Ethan Milburn struck out a career-high nine batters to pace the Yellow Jackets to a 7-1 win over Malone in the back half of their G-MAC doubleheader.
The Pioneers won the first game, 6-3.
Milburn, 3-2, pitched six strong innings allowing one earned run on four hits.
Micah Stewart tossed a scoreless seventh.
Alan Perry led the offense with three hits including a double and three RBI.
Blais Hale had two hits and scored twice for Cedarville, 10-15 overall and 4-5 G-MAC.
In the nine-inning opener, Malone took control early with a four-run first inning.
Payton Eeles tallied two hits featuring a double, run scored, and an RBI while
Lucas Rotello contributed two hits.
Stinger Notes:
- Eeles extended his hitting streak to 19 straight by beating out an infield hit in his final at bat.
- Perry totaled four hits on the day.
- Rotello has hit safely in his last eight games.
- The pitching staff combined to record 18 strikeouts.
- It was another cold day at the ball park - cloudy, windy, and 38 degrees
