CEDARVILLE, Ohio - G-MAC leader Tiffin put its offense on display while sweeping a Senior Day doubleheader at Cedarville.
The Dragons pounded four home runs including a pair of grand slams during 20-8 and 7-3 victories.
The Yellow Jackets, who end the regular season 21-24 overall and 15-14 G-MAC, await a possible conference tournament bid early next week.
In the opener, Tiffin exploded for eight runs in both the fourth and eighth innings.
Sam Punzi drilled a pair of doubles with a run scored and RBI while
Chase Springmeyer belted a solo home run.
Payton Eeles had a pair of hits and two RBI.
Alan Perry added two hits and two runs.
Punzi and
Blais Hale had two hits each in the second game. Eeles stole two bases and scored a run.
Stinger Notes:
- Eeles' hitting streak was halted at 17 games, but he continued his string of having reached base in all 45 contests.
- Punzi has 15 multi-hit games this season.
- Perry has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games.
- CU pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts in the twinbill.
- The top six teams qualify for the G-MAC Tournament at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio on May 11-14.
