CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Individual champion
Alayna Ackley led a 1-thru-4 finish CU as the Lady Jackets won the All-Ohio Championship under the lights at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
Ackley's winning time of 17:38.9 for the 5K was the 15th-fastest ever run on the course. Younger sister
Savannah Ackley was the runner-up in 17:41.7.
Hannah Rhem was third in 17:44.7 and
Bethany Sholl took fourth in 17:59.8 for Cedarville, ranked No. 8 in the USTFCCCA Division II poll.
Completing the scoring for the hosts were
Naomi Herman (7th; 18:08.3),
Remington Hobson (9th; 18:09.6), and
Audrianna Enns (14th; 18:19.1).
Cedarville totaled 17 points to take the top spot in the 33-team race. It was the program's second-ever title having previously won it in 2008.
Dayton was runner-up with 53 points. Rounding out the top five were Walsh (131 points), Findlay (134), and John Carroll (167).
