CANTON, Ohio - A jump shot with one second left in overtime gave Malone an 84-82 win over Cedarville in a G-MAC game at Osborne Hall.
The Yellow Jackets had possession with the score tied 82-82, but a traveling violation with 7.1 seconds remaining set up the game winner for the hosts.
Jayvon Maughmer netted 22 points while
Jacob Drees totaled 21 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
Grant Whisman had 15 points including a pair of game-tying free throws with 0.8 seconds left in regulation.
Brayden Sipple added 11 points for Cedarville, 17-7 overall and 10-6 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Drees produced his ninth double-double.
- Maughmer had seven rebounds and a team-high five assists.
- The Jackets' eight three-point baskets were the fewest made in nine games.
- Malone held the lead for more than 36 minutes of the contest.
- Cedarville is 2-1 in overtime games this winter.
- The home team won the two regular season meetings.
- The Pioneers lead the all-time series, 61-48.
