HIGHLIGHTS
HICKORY, N.C. - NCBWA Division II No. 25 Lenoir-Rhyne scored ten runs in the seventh inning to beat Cedarville, 10-7, and complete a sweep of their non-conference doubleheader.
The Bears also took the first game at Durham Field, 8-3.
In the nightcap, the Yellow Jackets built a 7-0 lead entering the bottom of the seventh. LRU responded with ten runs on eight hits, two walks, and an error.
Blais Hale totaled three hits for Cedarville, 2-6.
Alan Perry had two hits including a three-run triple while
Daniel Sewak added two hits and two RBI.
Starting pitcher
Tanner Gillis did not allow a run over 5 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts.
Lenoir-Rhyne broke open a close contest in the opener with a four-run seventh inning.
Lucas Rotello tallied two hits including a home run. Starting pitcher
Wyatt Fisher fanned eight batters and allowed three earned runs in five innings.
