CU drops 5-3 decision in North Carolina finale

HIGHLIGHTS

HICKORY, N.C. - NCBWA Division II No. 25 Lenoir-Rhyne broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the seventh inning to beat the Yellow Jackets, 5-3, to close out the three-game non-conference series.

Kale Ebling, Alan Perry, and Lucas Rotello had two hits each for Cedarville, 2-7.

Perry had an RBI triple, Rotello doubled, and Ebling scored twice.

The visitors outhit the Bears, 9-6, and handled 32 chances in the field without an error.

Starting pitcher Ethan Milburn went the first six innings allowing three earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
