CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A seven-run eighth inning rallied Charleston to a 7-4 win over Cedarville to take both ends of a non-conference doubleheader.
The host Eagles won the first game, 3-1.
The Yellow Jackets got six strong innings from starter
Wyatt Fisher in the nightcap.
The sophomore righthander struck out nine while holding UC scoreless.
The visitors enjoyed a 4-0 lead through 7 ½ innings.
Charleston plated all of its runs in the eighth on four hits, the last of which was a grand slam, three walks, and a pair of errors.
Micah Stewart had two hits with an RBI for the Jackets, 2-9.
Lucas Rotello had two hits including a triple and
Blais Hale doubled.
In the seven-inning opener, Cedarville outhit the home team, 7-4, but could only dent the plate one time on Rotello's RBI single.
Stewart had two hits while
Alan Perry added a single and a double.
