HARROGATE, Tenn. - Lincoln Memorial finished off a three-game series sweep of the Yellow Jackets by scores of 9-5 and 5-1 at Lamar Hennon Field.
The Railsplitters surrendered a tally in the first inning of the opener and then scored nine unanswered runs.
Cedarville closed the gap with a four-run ninth inning.
Kaden Shook recorded two hits with a double, two RBI, and a run scored.
Blais Hale had two hits with a double,
Kale Ebling posted two hits, and
Daniel Sewak doubled.
Starting pitcher
Ethan Milburn allowed one earned run with three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings in his season debut.
In the seven-inning nightcap, LMU built a 4-0 lead and checked the visitors on five hits.
Ebling had a hit with a run scored and
Hunter Laurell doubled.
Stinger Notes:
- Hale and Ebling registered five hits apiece in the series.
- The Jackets totaled eight doubles from seven different players.
- A total of 12 pitchers saw time on the mound.
- Cedarville is off until hosting Saginaw Valley State at AIA in Xenia on Feb. 17-18.
