TIFFIN, Ohio - Cedarville outscored Tiffin 10-4 in the final two minutes to pull out a 67-64 G-MAC result at the Gillmor Student Center.
Jayvon Maughmer and
Grant Whisman finished with 17 points apiece for the Yellow Jackets, 16-6 overall and 9-5 G-MAC.
The Dragons held a 60-57 advantage just inside the two-minute mark when Maughmer took over.
The junior forward scored seven straight points on a jumper, three-pointer, and two charity tosses in a span of 68 seconds.
That gave the visitors the lead for good at 64-60.
Tytist Dean made one free throw and
Chris Rogers converted two more in the final seconds to clinch it.
Stinger Notes:
- Jacob Drees hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds with three assists, two steals, and a block.
- CU had as much as a 13-point lead in the first half, but shot just .296 from the field in the second period.
- Four of the team's eight field goals in the final 20 minutes were from outside the arc.
- The Jackets have made at least ten three-pointers in six straight games and 12 of the last 13.
- Cedarville won both regular season games and leads the all-time series, 44-37.
