SALISBURY, N.C. - Catawba escaped a ninth inning jam to beat the Yellow Jackets, 5-3, in a non-conference game at Newman Park.
The visitors had the bases loaded and one out when the Indians turned a double play to wrap up the victory.
Kale Ebling doubled and scored for the Yellow Jackets, 3-12 overall.
Daniel Sewak ripped a double with singles coming off the bats of
Caleb McKinion,
Lucas Rotello, and
Kaden Shook.
Cedarville totaled five hits compared to eight for Catawba.
The Jackets scored two runs in the sixth inning to grab a 3-2 lead, but the hosts answered with three in the bottom half to account for the final.
