CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Wyatt Fisher and
Reid Hale combined on a six-hitter to lead Cedarville to a 4-0 victory over Ashland and a split of their G-MAC doubleheader.
The Yellow Jackets, 4-17 overall and 1-5 G-MAC, halted an eight-game slide with the outcome.
The Eagles won the opener, 8-1. The two teams meet again on Saturday for two games at Athletes in Action in Xenia.
Fisher struck out seven with one walk while pitching the first six innings of the seven-inning nightcap.
Hale fanned one and escaped a bases loaded two-out jam to end the contest.
Blais Hale had two hits with a double,
Caden McKinion added two hits featuring a two-run double, and
Micah Stewart chipped in two hits.
In the first game, Cedarville tallied just one hit entering the ninth inning.
Seth Hale led off with a single and later scored on an RBI single by
Alan Perry.
