CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Head coach Jonathan Meade is pleased to announce six newcomers to the 2023 Cedarville University women's soccer program. "The team and I could not be happier with the 2023 class. It's a talented class that really fits our team culture. We are excited to get started and have them compete," noted Meade.
Gracie Groome, Seren Johnson, Hannah Medlin, Kacy Rosenthal, Katie Ulmer and Alysha Wallace have submitted National Letters of Intent to attend Cedarville University and play for the Lady Jackets in 2023.

Gracie Groome
Gracie Groome was a four-year soccer performer at The Charles Finney School in Rochester, New York. Groome, a three-time Private Parochial All-Star, tallied 91 goals with 28 assists in her prep career.
As a sophomore, Groome tied the school record with 33 goals in a single season (2019).
Groome was the Section V, Class D2 Player of the Year in 2022.
Groome has club experience with the Rochester Lancers Academy. Her squad captured the Baltimore Mania Elite Tournament Championship in 2022.
Gracie, who plans to major in sports medicine, is the daughter of Roger Groome and Jennifer Verdugo of Rochester, New York.
Coach Meade:
"Gracie is a goal scorer and will be fun to watch. She is both crafty and explosive and I think will transition quickly into our playing style."

Seren Johnson
Seren Johnson was a three-year letter winner in soccer at Sage Creek High School in Carlsbad, California. Johnson was the 2021-22 CIF San Diego Section Sportsmanship Award winner as her team won the San Diego Section Division 2 title and advanced to the state semifinals.
Johnson has club experience in the U17 Development Player League (DPL). She scored 22 goals with nine assists in 2021-22 and helped lead her squad to a national title.
Seren, a four-year Honor Roll student, plans to major in nursing. She is the daughter of Aaron and Jennie Johnson of Carlsbad, California.
Coach Meade:
"Seren is good on the ball, composed, and has a nice change of pace in the attack. She's a player that I can see helping us in a variety of positions."

Hannah Medlin
Hannah Medlin was a member of the soccer program at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also earned All-Southwest Academic Conference recognition.
Medlin has club experience with CUP Gold (Cincinnati United Premier).
Hannah, a National Honor Society student, is undecided as a major. She is the daughter of Steve and Kristin Medlin of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Coach Meade:
"Hannah is a versatile and hard working defender. She comes in with a lot of club experience against great competition that will serve her well in her transition to the collegiate game."

Kacy Rosenthal
Kacy Rosenthal was a homeschool graduate and a member of the soccer program at the Veritas Press Scholars Academy. She earned Dean's List recognition in 2020-2021.
Rosenthal has club experience with the Gretna Elite Academy ECNL-RL 04/05.
Kacy, an undeclared major, is the daughter of Mike and Linda Rosenthal of Omaha, Nebraska.
Coach Meade:
"Kacy plays center back and holding mid and will add great size to the middle of the field. She is a smart defender that is very smooth and precise in her buildup. I look forward to seeing her compete."

Katie Ulmer
Katie Ulmer was a member of the soccer program at Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. She tallied five goals with eight assists as a prep performer.
Ulmer has club experience with PDA South ECNL which advanced to the 2019 Regional Finals and was the Jeff Cup Division 3 Champions in 2022.
Katie, a National Honor Society student, plans to major in sport business management. She is the daughter of Keith and Rebecca Ulmer of Marlton, New Jersey.
Coach Meade:
"Katie will bring quality playmaking ability, speed and scoring to our midfield. She's played at a very high level throughout her club years and I expect she will be ready to contribute immediately."

Alysha Wallace
Alysha Wallace was a member of the soccer program at Granville High School in Granville, Ohio. She was the 2021 Team Co-MVP and a two-time Licking County League Second Team honoree.
Wallace's prep squad was a 2020 state runner-up, a 2020 regional champion and a two-time district champion. Granville High School captured the Licking County League title in 2020 and 2022.
Wallace has club experience with Sporting Columbus FC.
Alysha, a four-year Honor Roll student, plans to major in elementary education. She is the daughter of Donnell and Anjali Wallace of Granville, Ohio.
Coach Meade:
"Alysha is a tough and vocal defender that can play anywhere along the back line. She's a great culture fit and I look forward to having her on the team.
