ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Cedarville qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Championship by placing third at the Midwest Regional.
It's the fourth consecutive year the Lady Jackets have advanced to the big meet which will be held in Sacramento, Calif. on Nov. 23 at 2:15 p.m. EST.
Grand Valley State repeated as team champion with 20 points while host Lewis was the runner-up with 64.
Cedarville totaled 146 points for third place and was followed by G-MAC champion Walsh (185) and Wayne State (191).
The top three team finishers earn automatic berths to the NCAA Championship.
Corinne Lynch finished 15th of 195 competitors in 21:52.25 for the 6K and
Emily Walsh was 21st in 21:55.95. They both earned all-region honors by finishing in the Top 25.
Alyson Enns came in 34th in 22:17.95 while
Aubrey Hayes was 35th in 22:19.41.
The rest of CU's lineup included
Hannah Hartenburg (41st; 22:28.72),
Helen Rhymer (67th; 23:10.15), and
Abby Drosdak (101st; 23:42.15).
