2023-24 ALL-G-MAC TEAM
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Jayvon Maughmer has been named the 2023-24 G-MAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-6 senior guard from Chillicothe, Ohio was selected in voting by the league's coaches.
He is the second Yellow Jacket to earn the prestigious award. Zimmy Nwogbo was the choice following the 2012-13 campaign - the G-MAC's first year of existence.
Maughmer has guided Cedarville to a 20-11 record and a berth in the G-MAC Tournament semifinals.
He leads the league in scoring (20.5 ppg) while ranking third in three-point percentage, fourth in free throw percentage, and fifth in field goal percentage.
Jacob Drees is a repeat selection to the All-G-MAC Second Team.
The 6-7 graduate student from Hilliard, Ohio averages 7.9 points and a league-leading 9.1 rebounds per contest. He rates third in blocks and sixth in assists.
