Lady Jackets sweep Kentucky Wesleyan on the road

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Cedarville continued its strong G-MAC play with a 3-0 sweep at Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Lady Jackets controlled the match start to finish, posting set scores of 25–23, 25–17, 25–20 to improve to 17–5 overall and 9–1 in the G-MAC.

Cedarville hit a blistering .382 as a team and never trailed in the match after the opening points of set one. The Lady Jackets tallied 42 kills with just eight errors across three sets.

Cassi Shields led the way with 11 kills and five service aces for a match-high 17.5 points. Madelyn Hensley added 10 kills while hitting .474 and collected five digs.

Janae Heegaard was efficient at the net with nine kills on .562 hitting, while setter Kaley Matney directed the offense with 22 assists.

Defensively, Alivia Rutt anchored the back row with 10 digs, and Cedarville's front line totaled six team blocks, paced by Shields, Heegaard and Haley Koch's three block assists apiece.
