Quotable: Head Coach Rob Jones
"We did a nice job of building a lead and pushing it out a little bit, but they did a really nice job of cutting into it and put some real game pressure on us in the second half – which we needed. I thought that was really good for us and our guys responded well. These games are always tricky. You're heading into the last game before Christmas break and it's easy for your mind to be elsewhere. We have multiple guys with flights tonight, guys driving home, all these different things, and that's one of the things we talked about is just the presence of the moment. The guys did a good job with that."
Quotable: Sophomore forward Sam Johnson
"Coming off a disappointing loss on the road we just knew we had to get back to us. We had to get outside of our own heads and not let that loss affect us going into this game and make sure we played our game."
Quotable: Freshman forward Jonathan Whiteside
"Coach talked to us about our mentality – we've got to want it more and just really compete and have joy with it. That's what we tried to do today.
