CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville University is excited to announce the launch of its new Esports program in the fall of 2025.
The Yellow Jackets will be joining the growing world of competitive gaming and offering students the opportunity to participate in organized, team-based video game competitions.

Christopher Cross, Vice President of Athletics.
"Esports is a rapidly growing phenomenon, and we believe it will provide our students with a unique and exciting opportunity to further the university mission, develop their skills, build community, and represent Cedarville in a new and dynamic way. This emerging sport could develop into something very special for our campus."
The University is currently in the process of recruiting players and coaches for the inaugural Esports co-ed team.
The Yellow Jackets' Esports program will initially focus on Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers, and one additional title to be determined. The University plans to compete against other colleges and universities in a regional and national Esports conference.
