XENIA, Ohio - Saginaw Valley State scored three times in the 10th inning to polish off a twinbill sweep of Cedarville at the AIA Sports Complex.
The Cardinals won the high-scoring opener, 15-10, and then pulled out what was supposed to the seven-inning nightcap, 10-7.
In the first game, the Yellow Jackets held a 9-6 lead through five innings, but SVSU tallied three runs in the sixth and six more in the seventh to take over.
Cooper Martin and
Grayson Weikel both hit home runs.
Eli Henderson had two hits including a triple and four runs batted in.
Martin finished with two hits and three runs scored while
Caleb McKinion singled and doubled.
SVSU scored the go ahead runs in the late game after the first two batters were retired in the 10th inning.
Henderson had three hits, three walks, and scored twice.
Kaden Shook added a pair of hits featuring a three-run double.
Cedarville, 4-6 overall, had its four-game winning streak snapped.
