CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Kaden Wilde drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Yellow Jackets a 2-1 G-MAC victory over Lake Erie.
The Storm were a 9-5 winner in the league opener for both schools in the first game.
Pinch hitter
Grant Poindexter opened the seventh with a walk and was replaced by pinch runner
Nathaniel Adkins, who eventually scored the winning run.
Brendan Colley was hit-by-pitch,
Riley Finkelston moved the runners up with a groundout, and
Grayson Weikel was intentionally walked to set the stage for Wilde.
Starting pitcher
Jensen Wagoner, 2-2, fired a complete game with three strikeouts and no walks. He threw 85 pitches with 66 going for strikes.
Eli Henderson extended his hitting streak to 15 with a double in the fourth inning and scored on a single by
Chris Montes de Oca.
In the nine-inning first game, Lake Erie broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the third inning and never trailed the rest of the way.
Henderson had three hits including a double, Weikel had two hits, and Wilde scored twice.
