CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Summer Swartwout made her outdoor debut by setting two school records in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.
The freshman sprinter from Cincinnati torched the 100 meter record by 0.13 seconds with a third-place showing of 11.65 seconds.
Swartwout proceeded to set another new CU mark in the 200 with a runner-up time of 24.15.
Both efforts met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
The lone first place for Cedarville came from
Savannah Ackley in the 5,000 meters with a winning time of 17:34.33.
Emily Walsh took runner-up honors in the 1,500 in 4:33.30.
The 4 x 400 meter relay foursome of
Hope Carroll,
Addison Harrington,
Aubrey Hayes, and
Sydney Diedrich was second in 4:07.85.
The top showing in the field events was by
Raegan Howdyshell, who was fifth in the javelin with a heave of 120-5 (36.70 meters).
Ashland won the 24-team meet with 126.50 points and was followed by Cleveland State (80) and the Lady Jackets (62.50).
