Walsh ends career with 10th-place finish in 1,500 at NCAA

EMPORIA, Kansas – Emily Walsh placed tenth in the 1,500 meters final at the NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
 
The graduate student from Eagle River, Alaska was timed in 4:24.32 at Welch Stadium – the seventh-fastest mark in program history.
 
Walsh's effort of 4:26.0 in Thursday's prelims rates No. 10 on the Lady Jackets' all-time list.
 
She wraps up her career with five of the top ten 1,500 meter performances ever turned in at Cedarville.
 
Walsh was a three-time NCAA All-American as a distance runner – 2025 outdoor track, 2025 cross country, and 2026 indoor track.
