WILSON, N.C. - Glenville State scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat the Yellow Jackets 7-5 at Fleming Stadium.
The Pioneers sent ten batters to the plate in the bottom of the first and used three hits, two walks, a hit-by-pitch, and a error in the big inning.
Cedarville battled back with a four-run seventh.
Cooper Martin's three-run double was the big blow.
Martin finished with two doubles and a run scored for the Yellow Jackets, 6-9.
Eli Henderson had two hits and the only other one recorded was a single by
Caleb McKinion.
Chris Montes de Oca walked twice and scored two runs.
The two sides combined to leave 26 runners on base - 14 by GSU and 12 by Cedarville.
