CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Matt Schaeckenbach and Emily Walsh have been selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The meet takes place on May 22-24 at the ThunderBowl on the campus of Colorado State University Pueblo.

Schaeckenbach, a sophomore from Iowa City, Iowa, will compete in the high jump and Walsh, a senior from Eagle River, Alaska, will run in the 1,500 meters.

Schaeckenbach is the reigning G-MAC champion and enters the meet tied for the eighth-best jump in the country this season out of 22 qualifiers.

He cleared 6-11.50 (2.12 meters) at the Otterbein Twilight on April 18. The high jump competition begins at 6:45 p.m. EDT on May 24.

Walsh runs in the 1,500 meter prelims on May 22 at 7:10 p.m. EDT with the final set for May 24 at 7:35 p.m.

She qualified after posting a career-best 4:22.89 last Friday at Indiana University. She ranks 15th among the 22 runners in the field.
