PUEBLO, Colo. - Matt Schaeckenbach tied for 13th place in the high jump at the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

The sophomore from Iowa City, Iowa began the competition by clearing the opening mark of 6-7.50 (2.02 meters) on his second attempt.

Schaeckenbach proceeded to get past 6-9.50 (2.07m) on his third attempt to remain alive.

He was unable to clear 6-11.50 (2.12m) which would have equaled his career best.

The 6-9.50 effort ties for the seventh-best in program history. Schaeckenbach owns four of the Top 10 marks on the Yellow Jackets' all-time list.
