EMPORIA, Kansas –
Brandon Rogers earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the 400 meters.
The junior from West Chester, Ohio placed seventh in 46.96 seconds – the school's fifth-fastest mark.
Rogers was clocked in 46.54 in the prelims which rates No. 2 on the Yellow Jackets' Top 10. He owns the top five times in program history.
Rogers guided the 4 x 400 meter relay unit to another school record in the prelims with a time of 3:08.89 which ultimately placed ninth in the country.
He was joined by
Jeremy Johnson,
Caleb Sultan, and
Michael Braxton. It's the sixth time this spring that the 4 x 400 record was broken.
Matt Schaeckenbach had the 14th best time out of 22 competitors in the 110 meter hurdles prelims at 14.42 seconds. He did not clear his opening height in the high jump.
