CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Cedarville University softball has players appearing on the NCCAA Midwest Region Team for the 25th consecutive season.
Not counting 2020 when a team wasn't selected because of Covid, the Lady Jackets have been honored every year since 2000.
Mackenzie Lashuay,
Ella Leonard, and
Caitlin Colley were all voted to the 2025 first team.
It's the second time that Lashuay landed a spot on the squad. The senior utility player from Fairmount, Illinois started all 50 games with a team-leading 64 hits to go along with a .386 batting average.
Leonard, an outfielder from Perrysburg, Ohio, started all 50 contests during her freshman campaign and batted .360 with a team-best 33 runs batted in. She tied Lashuay for the team lead in runs scored with 32.
Colley, a freshman third baseman from Stouffville, Ontario, was the only other player on the roster to start all 50 games. She hit .350 with a team-leading 20 doubles.
