PUEBLO, Colo. -
Emily Walsh earned All-America recognition by finishing seventh in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
The senior from Eagle River, Alaska was timed in 4:33.15 at the ThunderBowl on the campus of Colorado State University Pueblo.
Walsh is the fifth Lady Jacket to earn USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-America honors.
She joins Carsyn Koch (three times), Rachel Sweeney Bredeson,
Haleigh Eckert, and Olivia Esbenshade in the elite group.
Walsh reached the final after claiming the last qualifying spot in Thursday's prelims.
She was timed in 4:34.18 and finished fifth among the 11 runners in the second of two heats.
The top four finishers in each heat plus the next four fastest times advanced to the final.
