HOUGHTON, Mich. - Cedarville scored twice in each half to earn a convincing 4–1 road victory at Michigan Tech at Sherman Field.
The Lady Jackets improved to 2–1 on the season with the win.
Freshman
Audrey Stanley opened the scoring in the 35th minute with her first career goal, assisted by
Alyssa Griner and
Alli Graves. Less than two minutes later,
Brooklyn Scythes doubled the lead by converting a penalty kick.
Cedarville extended its advantage early in the second half when
Katie Ulmer netted her second goal of the year in the 49th minute, assisted by
Becca Schulenburg.
The Huskies pulled one back in the 57th minute, but
Maddy McCort sealed the result with an 89th-minute strike off a setup from
Amber Garman.
Goalkeeper
Kaelan Swallow recorded four saves in the win as the Lady Jackets held an 18–7 advantage in total shots, including a 12–5 margin on goal.
