DETROIT - Cedarville opened the 2025 schedule in strong fashion with a pair of victories at the Wayne State Warrior Invitational by taking down Upper Iowa and Winona State.
The Lady Jackets swept Upper Iowa 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 25-14) in their season opener.
Madelyn Hensley pounded 14 kills while
Cassi Shields hammered 13 on a .632 attack percentage.
Kaley Matney handed out 39 assists.
Cedarville followed up with a 3-1 victory over Winona State (25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 25-17) to close out the day.
Allie Pilat totaled a career-high 16 kills with 12 more from
Cam Davenport. Matney was good for 46 assists and
Alivia Rutt had 25 digs.

- Pilat, whose previous career-best was five kills, had 26 on the day with a .385 attack percentage.
- Haley Koch rejected a team-high five blocks vs. Winona State and totaled nine in the two matches.
